What are 'web standards' and why do we use them?
The internet is constantly evolving and for this reason, we build our web sites with the future in mind. To do this, we validate all source codes against 'Wc3 Web Standards'.

Despite what their name implies, web standards are not compulsory. They should be thought of as recommendations and for this reason, some so-called experts will cut corners when it comes to design web pages, rather than tackle the problem.

However, adhereing to these recommendations brings many benefits, one of the largest being that the site will not require re-coding in a few years time.

Oakley Arts believe in using the right tools for the job. This also makes our sites appealing to all visitors, regardless of their internet browser's age.

Last but not least, web standards are a sign of quality design work and quality is a product of care.
